Gatekeepers hold the keys to your future. They are the people who can unlock potential new business for you within their organisation. They can also connect you with the right gatekeepers in other companies and open doors to a whole new area of work.

 

The role of the gatekeeper is to introduce you to their organisation. They might be looking to hire someone who can offer a service or product that will help them overcome a problem within their company. They might not know they need you at first, but you need to be there to offer a solution when they do.

 

Gatekeepers are not necessarily the people at the top of an organisation; they could be in Marketing, HR, Business Development or some other department which can make them tricky to find.
